The anticipation of my final semester is finally over because believe it or not it is already here! I am so excited for what this semester has in store. Last semester consisted of formulating research and gathering as much information as possible in preparation for the design portion of our senior project. 



This semester I will be designing a pediatric oncology center.  I chose this project type because as a future designer I wish to make a difference in people’s lives through the impact of design.  By creating a positive and encouraging healing environment, patients are able to benefit from their surroundings and hopefully speed up the healing process.  As a designer, it is my job to create an environment that will promote healing, encourage interaction, and provide the support that these young patients need in order to overcome the battle of fighting of cancer.



As I am developing my design I will be posting about my ideas, thoughts, research findings, ideation sketches and FFE selections.  So please feel free to comment on and offer feedback or constructive criticism.
